Hugene T. Fields, MBA is a senior auditor with Gelman, Rosenberg & Freedman CPAs. Mr. Fields has been with the firm since 2012 providing accounting and auditing services to its extensive number of nonprofit clients including associations, private voluntary organizations and charitable institutions. In total, Mr. Fields has almost a decade of experience in the accounting field.
Mr. Fields performs and reviews associate fieldwork for audits, coordinates interactions between firm and client staff and ensures the engagement is completed in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. He is experienced with the requirements of Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principals, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards (Uniform Guidance). Mr. Fields has traveled to over 20 countries (some multiple times) within various parts Africa, Central Asia and Europe. Mr. Fields also co-authored an article in Accounting Today called “Generational Viewpoints: All Around the World”.
Mr. Fields is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He also graduated from the University Of Maryland University College, where he earned his Master’s degree in Business Administration.
Mr. Fields currently services as 2nd Vice Polemarch of the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and Chairman of it Guide Right Program which is dedicated to placing the training experience and life lessons of successful men at the disposal of youth for educational and occupational guidance.
